Where Wild Beauty Meets Fine Craft
Padis Jewelry is partnering with Safari West for an extraordinary TACORI experience — where the spirit of Africa, the art of conservation, and the joy of exceptional jewelry converge.
Some collaborations feel inevitable. When two organizations share a deep, genuine connection to the African continent — one through the diamonds born in its earth, the other through the animals that roam its landscapes… a partnership isn't just natural. It's meaningful.
This June, Padis Jewelry is proud to present the TACORI Safari Showcase, an exclusive three-day event that brings together Northern California’s most celebrated jeweler, the world-renowned TACORI design house, and Safari West — Sonoma County’s breathtaking 400-acre wildlife preserve. This isn’t just a jewelry event. It’s a celebration of beauty, craftsmanship, conservation, and the shared human impulse to protect what is rare and precious.

THE TACORI SAFARI SHOWCASE EVENT
For three extraordinary days, Padis Jewelry’s San Francisco and Walnut Creek showrooms are being transformed into refined, safari-inspired environments… think the golden warmth of Saharan light, the elegance of a luxury lodge, and the quiet wonder of the wild. Champagne flows, curated safari-inspired cocktails are served, and elevated bites accompany what promises to be an unforgettable showcase of TACORI’s full collection alongside California’s largest selection of natural and lab-grown diamonds.
TACORI representatives will be on-site, traveling from their Glendale studios, to guide you through the creative process of designing your ideal custom piece — an intimate, one-on-one experience rarely available outside TACORI’s own studios.
Event Dates & Locations
San Francisco — June 12th & 13th · 10AM – 4PM
Walnut Creek — June 14th · 11AM – 6PM

THE PARTNERSHIP
Two Legacies, One Shared Purpose
Padis Jewelry has called the Bay Area home since 1974. For over five decades, the Padis family has built not only a renowned jewelry business, but a legacy of ethical responsibility — particularly when it comes to their connection to Africa. Every diamond in the Padis collection is hand-selected directly from the source, and the company is deeply committed to empowering diamond-producing communities in Botswana, Namibia, and South Africa. Their partnerships support the wellbeing of the communities where these extraordinary stones originate, ensuring that the beauty of every piece reflects a deeper kind of integrity.

Safari West carries a parallel mission — one rooted in the same African landscape. Safari West is home to hundreds of exotic animals across 90+ species and is dedicated to research, conservation, education, and protecting endangered wildlife. Founded in the 1980s by Peter and Nancy Lang on over 400 acres in the Mayacamas Mountains of Sonoma County, Safari West began as a breeding preserve for threatened and endangered species. Today, it is home to over 1,000 individual animals across nearly 100 species, with a profound commitment to research, conservation, and education.
“Conservation is a huge part of what we do… breeding for maintaining endangered species with the right genetics and getting people excited about conservation projects in the U.S. and beyond.”
Safari West has achieved remarkable milestones, including the first successful birth of a Southern White Rhinoceros at the preserve… a species that, after more than a century of protection efforts, has moved from endangered to near-threatened status. Their conservation breeding programs include Waldrapp Ibis, Addax Antelope, Nile lechwe, and dozens of other vulnerable species. Through their partnership with organizations like the San Francisco Zoo, their work extends far beyond their Sonoma hillside.
The Safari West Wildlife Foundation — a 501(c)(3) nonprofit — further advances this mission through youth education programs including Safari West Live!, an interactive safari broadcast to children in pediatric hospitals across the country, Discover Africa, a scholarship field trip program, and Junior Keepers, a science and mentorship program for young conservationists.
The thread connecting Padis Jewelry and Safari West is clear: both are deeply invested in the preservation and celebration of Africa’s greatest gifts — whether gemstone or animal, heirloom or habitat.

THE EXPERIENCE: A Luxury Safari Awaits
Safari West offers something genuinely rare in Northern California: the immersive experience of an African wildlife safari, set against the rolling hills of Sonoma wine country. Open-air guided jeep tours bring guests face-to-face with giraffes, cheetahs, zebras, cape buffalo, flamingos, and dozens of other exotic species roaming freely across the preserve’s 400 acres. It is, as many guests describe it, as close to the Serengeti as you can get without boarding a plane.
For those who want to linger, the luxury safari tent accommodations, richly appointed with hardwood floors, plush bedding, and private en-suite baths, imported directly from Africa, allow guests to fall asleep to the sounds of the wild. Waking to the sight of giraffes grazing on the hillside at sunrise is an experience that stays with you.

Your purchase gives back
At Padis Jewelry, we have always believed that a piece of fine jewelry carries meaning beyond its beauty — it reflects where it came from, the hands that shaped it, and the values of the people who wear it. This June, we invite you to experience that belief in full: to celebrate a milestone with a TACORI design created just for you, to raise a glass to the wild and wonderful world we share, and to know that your purchase makes a meaningful difference — for the animals of Safari West and for the communities that make the diamonds in your hands possible.
The wild is calling. We hope to see you there.
